This documents a problem I know many people who have personally, namely, iPhone storage is too damn small. Especially on the new iPhone 6 & 6+, 16GB is laughably small and most users will run out very quickly, and be confused by the limited means available to actually manage your storage on the phone. Apple likes to pretend there is no problem, even if there is.

The upcoming solution to this conundrum from Apple appears to be the iCloud Photo Library. functionality. This is paid however, and going by the common man’s behaviour of not paying for anything on their phones that will be a difficult sell.

And worst part is that their decision to go with 16GB another year will pay itself forward in new iOS updates, making the adoption rate even slower for upcoming versions when people will not be able to install updates because of the storage requirements. Which is most likely the cause for the very slow iOS 8 adoption rate.
